Your card records

Every card you make leaves LinkedWithin as a file, and LinkedWithin keeps a record of it. Here is what that record is, and what you can do with it.

What a record is

Each time you make a card, LinkedWithin notes what the card showed, when, the look and size you chose, your confirmation (the tick), and that the automatic check passed. The image is never kept, and there is no public card page. (Open on phone on the website makes a link to the file that lasts 10 minutes; deleting the record ends it sooner.) A card the check refused is never made and its text is not kept, so it never appears here.

On the website

Open SettingsData privacyYour shared cards. Your records are listed newest first: the card's title, what kind of card it was, its look, size and file type, and the date.

In the app

Go to ProfileData privacyYour shared cards. The list and the bin icon are the same; the confirmation button reads Delete.

Delete a record

Deleting removes what the card showed from the live service at once; as with any deletion, backup copies expire within 7 days. LinkedWithin keeps only a dated note that a card was made, checked and confirmed: the kind of card, its look, size and file type, how many items it held and whether it showed your name (yes or no, never the name itself), with no card text. That note stays until your account is closed and purged. We keep it so we can show that the card was checked and that you confirmed it.

Cards you already posted

A card you shared to Instagram, WhatsApp, X, Facebook or anywhere else is a file on that platform now. Deleting the record on LinkedWithin does not touch it, and nothing on LinkedWithin can take it down: there is no page to switch off. Delete the post there. Copies other people have made are outside our control.

What you share is yours; if someone objects, the request comes to you as well as to us.

Closing your account

Closing your account deletes your card records with everything else: 30 days to change your mind, then permanent deletion within 7 days. Cards you already posted are files on other platforms and are not affected; delete those posts there.
